We Are Hiring!

We are currently hiring for a number of summer roles including part time front of house, kitchen and take away staff. We are also looking for a front of house Assitant Manager. Roles start from mid May. Please get in touch if you are interested in finding out more details for any of the part time roles. The Assitant Manager Role is listed below.

Assistant Manager

The Watch House is looking for a bright, energetic, and friendly professional to take on our new Assistant Manager position.

The Restaurant

The Watch House is a seaside restaurant located in the picturesque village of St Mawes in Cornwall with 70 covers. Our focus is on providing delicious locally sourced seasonal food in a smart yet relaxed environment. We serve a relaxed lunch followed by a bistro style dinner service. During the busy summer months we also serve breakfast. In addition to the sit down restaurant, there is also a take away window serving fish and chips and burgers.

We have been featured in The Sunday Times, The Guardian, and other national press as a great place to eat by the sea. The Watch House is also in the Michelin and Trencherman's guides and has a solid reputation on Trip Advisor.

We are open from 9am – 11pm during the summer months, with reduced hours in the off season.

The Role

We are looking for a full time Assistant Manager who can work closely with the Restaurant manager to ensure we continue to create a warm and welcoming experience, that will bring customers back again and again.

The right person for this role will have a strong background in hospitality and a passion for excellent customer service. You will also work well with others and have a proactive attitude towards your role.

With an increase in private events in the restaurant, experience in events is a plus but is not a requirement.

We need someone to start from mid May. At the moment this is a seasonal role, but if we find the right person we might look to extend the contract to a permanent position.
